Take a visit to Alykes (5 mins drive), one of the NATURA network locations. This is a stopping spot for the beloved pink flamingo when migrating. These beautiful exotic birds come to this wetland in winter and spring. This flat wetland area has been a salt pan since the 13th and 14th centuries, although the last time salt was produced was in 1988.

You can also rent a boat.

You will find many water sports activities (1km) such as Jet skis, canoes and pedalos.

If you love kite surfing, go to Halikounas beach (25km).

If you love hiking, try Arkoudilas mountain, Korission lagoon*, Nymfes waterfall or Palaiokastritsa.

Corfu Golf Club is set in a stunning location (Ropa Valley). It is a 18 hole golf course and thought to be the most beautiful in Greece. It attracts a big number of golf players from all around the world. It has a beautiful landscape and it is also suited for walking.

*Korission lake

Korission lagoon is located on the southwestern coast of Corfu. The picturesque Korission lake (the largest of Corfu and the highlight of the island's wetlands), the strip of land that separates the Korission Lake from the sea (Halikounas beach) with the dunes shaped like rocks and the cedar forest area compose a unique landscape of great beauty. The area is protected and belongs to the network NATURA. The beautiful lagoon attracts about 126 bird species.
